Privacy policy

Last updated 2 November 2026

This policy explains what personal information DataQuant collects, why, and what we do with it. It covers this website (dataquant.dev), Twitch Clipper, our tool that turns long videos into short clips and uploads them to YouTube, and TK Clips Poster, our app that posts those clips to our own Facebook Page.

Who we are

DataQuant is a software company based in Centurion, Gauteng, South Africa. Questions about this policy or your information go to info@northtech.africa.

This website

  • The site has no accounts, sign-up forms, advertising or tracking cookies.
  • Our host, Cloudflare, processes basic request data (such as your IP address and browser type) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
  • If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you.

Twitch Clipper and Google user data

Twitch Clipper is used to publish clips to YouTube channels that we own or manage. It connects to YouTube only when a channel owner signs in with Google and grants access. It requests two permissions:

  • Manage your YouTube videos (youtube.upload), to upload finished clips to the signed-in channel as private, scheduled or public videos.
  • View your YouTube account (youtube.readonly), to read the channel name and the view, like and comment counts of the videos it uploaded, so we can report how clips perform.

How it is stored. The sign-in token Google issues is stored only on the computer that runs Twitch Clipper. View counts are saved there in a local report. None of this is sent to DataQuant servers.

How it is shared. We do not sell, rent or share Google user data with anyone, and we do not use it for advertising. Video files and their titles go only to YouTube, as part of the upload you asked for.

AI processing of clips. To choose good moments, the audio of a video is transcribed and the text transcript is sent to an AI model provider. Transcripts come from the video being clipped. They contain no Google account data, and Google user data is never used to train AI models.

Removing access. You can revoke Twitch Clipper's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Deleting the token file on the computer that runs the tool also removes the stored sign-in. Ask us to delete any related records by emailing info@northtech.africa.

Twitch Clipper's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Twitch Clipper uses YouTube API Services. By using it you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

TK Clips Poster and Facebook data

TK Clips Poster is a private Meta app used only by the team behind the "Twitch & Kick Clips" Facebook Page and YouTube channel. It posts our own short video clips as posts and Reels to our own Facebook Page.

  • What it accesses. Only our own Facebook Page: its name and ID, and permission to publish posts and Reels to it (pages_manage_posts, pages_read_engagement). It does not ask anyone else to log in.
  • What it collects. Nothing about other people. It does not collect, store or share personal information about anyone who views, likes or comments on our posts.
  • What it stores. One access token for our own Page, kept privately on the computer that runs the tool. It is not sent to DataQuant servers or anyone else.
  • Sharing. We do not sell or share data with anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.

Deleting your data

Our tools hold no data about people other than ourselves, but you can ask us to delete anything related to you at any time:

  • Email info@northtech.africa with the subject "Data deletion request", or send a message to the "Twitch & Kick Clips" Facebook Page. Tell us what you'd like removed. We will delete it and confirm within 30 days.
  • Facebook: you can remove TK Clips Poster's access at any time under Settings & privacy > Settings > Business integrations.
  • Google and YouTube: you can remove Twitch Clipper's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Your rights

Under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email info@northtech.africa. You may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
